This week was super crazy. So right now we are working with a family whose dad didn't want to get married and that's why this sister couldn't get baptized for the same reason. So we prayed that she would find the way to get baptized. We set a date with her children who are 21 and 12. We were talking to the sister and she said that between her and him there wasn´t very much love. They just live together because that's how it’s been for such a long time. They feel they don’t need to get married, and never got married and every time we went over there we would try to talk to him, but he wouldn't let us. He always shut his door or something. On Thursday night at 11:30pm we get a call from this sister telling us that her husband fell from the balcony of their house. They took him to the hospital and he was put in intensive care. We went and talked to the daughter who was still at the house, because there are a ton of kids that she had to watch. She was crying a ton—it was kind of a weird situation but it worked out well. We taught a little bit of the plan of salvation and talked to them about what was going on. The daughter said she wanted to go to church so we got her to church on Sunday. She got to church and after the sacrament she got a call and was told by her mom in the hospital that the dad was looking worse. The bishop (before the meeting) had explained to the daughter about blessings and what not, so she asked for the bishop to go give a blessing to him. The bishop agreed but said after the meeting. So when the call came in that he was doing worse she flipped out and asked us to go in that moment. We grabbed an investigator that has been going to church for a long time and he took us to the hospital. We got to the hospital and they let us in. The hospital was super creepy-- they don't give anybody clothes they just sit there in their beds naked with blankets-- super creepy. So we were walking through halls of naked people that are in comas and we made our way to the back with the sister. They didn't let the daughter in just us. I don't know why, but it’s kind of weird. We went back and I gave him a blessing. Honestly the guy looked terrible-- he was a mess. He had like 5 machines hooked up to him and bruises all over his body. We gave him a blessing saying that through his faith he would be healed. We talked to the sister a little bit and left her Alma 40 and took off. As we left the daughter asked me to tell her how he looked. I told her that he looked alright-- I used the word. "bien" and nothing more. I didn't want to lie to her, but I didn't want her to freak out either. So what else can you do? Anyway we took off and went back to the church. After 2 hours of church it seemed to me that it calmed down the daughter a lot at least all the sisters where giving her hugs at church. That was cool, and they helped her out. Anyway at 12:30 last night the mom called us, telling us that he had died. Wow! So that was pretty crazy for a moment I thought back on the prayer I said, but never imagined that the Lord would do something like that so someone could get baptized. Now they have a baptismal date for the 4 of July. It’s not really sure, but we will talk to them about it if not this week the next week and the whole family will be getting baptized. So that’s the crazy story for this week --freaking wild. I think that’s the weirdest thing that’s happened to me in the mish.
For p-day we went to the Cuacalco fun center and went ice skating!!! It was something that was not allowed before but we asked the new president and he let us go!!! It was sweet I haven’t been ice skating in forever and my comp had a terrible time. He looked like Sanka off of “Cool Running.” the whole time. I guess they don’t go ice staking too much in Ecuador! All the rest of the Mexicans were having a hard time too. It was pretty much a gringo party. But even we looked stupid skating. The skates were super dull and it was hard to cut corners making it almost impossible for a beginner to learn to skate --poor guys. Anyway we had some races and it was a great time. In the same center they have bowling so we went bowling too. It was great. I don’t think I have laughed so much on the mission. It was the last p-day of like 5 elders in the zone. Everybody in this mission is either going home soon or just getting here. It’s really weird. I asked my comp if he wanted to go next week and he said no...I don't think he liked it as much as I did. Anyway I felt like it was worth the money. Things are going well. Thanks for your letters and support. Have a great time in England! I’m going to send some photos. I want you to put the one with me in front of the temple on the refrigerator.
