This week was really great! We have had a few problems with the assistance at church, but we are still kicking. My comp has cooled down a little and that’s good because before he wanted to have like 5 min lessons, but he is a great guy strong and firm in the gospel.
The week was pretty normal until Sunday. On Sunday after church we took a look at the list of people who didn’t come and went after the worst cases. There is one guy in our ward that hasn’t come to church for a long time and he is an ex-bishop. So we went to visit him. He started talking to me and explaining how our ward was terrible. Nobody said hi to him, and he didn’t feel accepted. I feel that a lot of people are like him in our ward. They have a testimony, but don’t feel like going to church because of the people that are there. That makes me think a lot about how strong our testimonies should be, are they strong enough to resist a tough ward a few negative comments or whatever. I feel like the base of our testimony is always Jesus Christ, and we must build upon it by reading the scriptures. This is what I have always taught.
I don’t have much time to write, but thanks for all you wrote me.
