This week was great other than Sunday. We are working hard and finding people to teach it seems like we are seeing more miracles since this new plan came out. This week we were walking down the street and this 80 year old lady told us that she had been talking to her neighbor about the gospel and what happened was she wanted to go to church because she said that she has been having problems with her family and the people that live in her house. So we went to teach her and it went super well-- we had a lot of appointments so we went on splits with some people in the ward. I was with this 18 year old who has one year as a member. He is a great guy but he really doesn’t know how to teach so I taught about the whole lesson and it went super sweet then she came to church and had to leave early for some reason. I don’t really know what happened, but we will have to check on her this week. Before church on Saturday we went by the house just to check if she was going to go or not. It was really weird because we came in and there was a guy in the house next to her house-- well think about it-- like this-- there is one door that leads to the road and then inside there is like 5 doors really close to each other and there are little rooms where the people live. So my investigator lives right next to this crazy dudes house and when we walked in he was yelling at me and told me to let him out. So I just kind of ignored him and walked into the other house-- the house of my investigator. Anyway this dude was like breaking the glass part of his door with his head and like a hammer or something and I asked my investigator what was going on and she told me that his family robbed his money, and took off and left him there without money and to not open the door because he was crazy. Anyway while we were talking he kept breaking glass. It was kind of like something you would see in a haunted house. It’s kind of hard to understand but I have like a million stories that have happened here that I will have to tell you after the mission because there is just not enough time.
Anyway the barbeque was killer we have a Hawaiian in our zone that cooked everything up really fast the chicken was a hit but I didn’t buy very much like 4 legs and 4 thighs so it didn’t last very long, but it was pretty good. I bought 2 kilos for 80 pesos --I’ll let you guys figure how much that is a pound in dollars.
Honestly I don’t really ever know what you guys want to hear from me and I never know what to write so usually I just write whatever comes to my mind. I think that’s why my letters are so weird. Anyway-- oh another quick story-- so it’s getting kind of cold so I decided to take some money out of my bank account to buy a winter jacket and when I put in my password wrong 3 times it sucked my card up and told me to call my bank. That was my 5/3ds bank card and my Utah credit union card has expired so that kind of stinks because now I don’t have access to my money. Anyway I’ll leave that problem in your hands how doesn’t that sound?
Anyway thanks for the love and support. Sounds like Zack’s mission call is pretty killer. I’m glad I got called to a cold part of Central America. I have a buddy here in the mission that’s from Farmington New Mexico he was my MTC companion.
