Cameron's Letter November 2 2011

So this week I saw tons of people from the STL!  Tre’ is here and so is Melanie Forbush and I went to Kap Sanders workshop that he puts on every Wednesday. I wanted to go earlier but my companion didn’t want to he said the other guy was better. I don’t know how you know that when you haven’t attended them both but whatever.

Anyway the prophet came to BYU on Tuesday so we were really hoping the Tuesday night devotional would be him. But it didn’t happen oh well it was still really good. So the language we are now setting a goal to speak the language as much as possible unfortunately some people just become mute and don’t talk at all so it’s kind of hard to come up with a good goal. Anyhow sounds like we have a huge celebration going on at home? My teacher asked me if my parents sent me a t-shirt. We have 2 teachers here and there both basically opposites of each other one is somewhat of a realist and the other one is really uptight and worried she’s new. But there both good and we have fun, and are learning a ton.

We have been going over misused words this week, which are words we keep on using that sound right when you translate from Spanish but not when you speak it fluently for example "about" is "acerca" is Spanish but you can’t use it in the same context that you would in English. So it’s kind of frustrating because what you thought was right for so long is now wrong. Anyway I’m working now on memorizing the popular irregular verbs. There are like 12 big ones and 7 tenses for all of them and then 5 ways to conjugate them. Ask Parker he will show you but I don’t remember learning all the 7 tenses in high school we only learned present future past imperfect and past preterite. Anyhow most of them follow a pattern so it’s not that bad.

Anyway on Sunday I was called on to give a talk so that was kind of rough but it worked out alright. Oh tell Grandma I saw Melissa Marshall here I guess she is going to Madrid Spain. There are tons of people from USU here I see familiar faces every day.

Man my letters are getting boring it’s tough to keep them interesting when you do the same thing every week.

Oh ya so choir listen to this I get 8 hours of sleep every night but I can still fall asleep while singing in the choir and we are not allowed to stand up. It’s like a district joke now everybody says I have an amazing talent to fall asleep while I’m singing it gets pretty warm in there so I think that’s part of the reason. I started reading the BOM strait through instead of topically like before. So now it’s even harder to stay awake in personal study which personal study is probably my favorite hour of the day. Which is cool because I have really found a love for the scriptures now I am reading in Alma chapter 8 and I can usually get 4 chapters in a day if I stay concentrated which I have been getting better at. I usually end up standing up and reading which works pretty well.

Hey whets up with Justin and Britt I haven’t heard from them in a while. I want to send them a letter but I don’t have an address...i also need Kevin Perkins address and Chris Tuttle’s I know it’s hard to find but that would be cool if you could send me them and what’s Spencer’s mission address to the mission home? that would be cool if I could get that I’ll probably write him in the field we will be super close to each other when where both out. Anyway have a good week next week’s letter will probably be more boring but the week after that will be sweet!!
