Any how this week has been, long, awesome, crazy, humbling, and
spiritual. So when I got to Landon's house I was feeling really weird
because I really didn't know what to expect from the match and so I
was pretty quiet I really didn't talk to anyone that much because I
was so weirded out that I was actually a missionary...that ended
immediately after I got there they took me in gave me my stuff and
everyone was so nice...immediately I was taken to a classroom where I
meet my teacher and district my teacher only speaks Spanish...well
supposed to only speak Spanish she does speak English when she needs
to say something fast and not take all the time to listen to her
repeat herself over and over again. Anyhow then as a group we went
into this big room to have our preliminary meeting...it was awesome!
We were right in front and I stood up to look behind me after everyone
came in and the crowd was huge! Anyway we sang army of Helaman which
is a total efy song ha ha but it was great...tears came to my eyes as
I noticed they changed the words from "And we will be the Lord's
missionaries". To "We are now the Lord's missionaries". It was really
great. Any how a basic day at MTC is wake up take a shower eat
breakfast which is like a huge college cafeteria. Then go to class
study the scriptures yourself and then be taught by Spanish
teachers...most interestingly is that they don't really teach us how
to teach or the gospel that much it's all supposed to be done on your
own...I think they trust in the lord to help you teach once you get
into the mission field. We had like one activity teaching
investigators like Bryce Lake...but I never saw him that was really
short lived it only took like an hour one night and then we were done.
Ok to my companion he is cool he's from New Mexico and he really
reminds me of Jacob Raubach at least he personality. So you can
imagine...haha he's really good though he is way into keeping the
rules and going everywhere on time. Which is good from me not that
were not on time we are. Any how we live with these 2 other elders who
are super funny...mostly because they are super relaxed and act like
they have been here forever so they try to get us to do things their
way...that sounds kind of bad but there actually really nice haha and
on is from Missouri. to clarify I'll give you and example one sets his
alarm for 630 then when he puts he razor by his bed so he can shave
while he is still in bed and then he brushes his teeth in bed. Hahaha
it's hilarious. So our district is great we have some really good
guys. Any way things are good but I gotta go I'm outta time.
