This week we worked really hard and had a bunch of success. We are doing great and I am really enjoying this relaxing transfer--relaxing in the sense of not having problems with my comp at all. So that has been relaxing. Other sweet thing this week we had a huge help from the ward we have received like 7 references this week that’s amazing this ward is excited and wants to work This Sunday we had 3 new people at church so we are going to put baptismal dates with them this week the zone leaders kind of got mad at me for not setting a date before that was kind of annoying but whatever. So to answer dad’s questions my old comp is alright with it he wasn’t very respectful before when he was my companion and he hasn’t really changes but he is kind of the black sheep because the district is really small only me, my comp, my old comp and his comp (Elder Dow). Elder Dow is from Canada and is pretty cool he is an amazing missionary because of what he has been through unfortunately he is going home early (as in he choose to go home 1 transfer early just like the option that they gave me) because of it all. I had ruff companions but he has had terrible companions and pres doesn’t really know because he’s pretty relaxed but I’m actually really proud of him he put up with a lot of junk. and has still kept working he has an incredible amount of patience and is still going strong a great guy in my book. I had divisions with him this week we had a great time and worked hard. Funny fact. I’m not sure if it’s true but he told me that in Canada there are 18 mill people in the whole country and its the 2nd biggest country in the world. in Mexico city alone there are 24 mill people. and it’s a whole lot smaller than Canada. haha pretty cool. So we had like 7 new investigators and about half went to church that’s super cool. This new way to work—I am actually starting to feel like it’s better when the ward participates. Your success really depends on the ward with this new way of working so we are doing well and the ward gave us a ton of references they are working
Great funny story. On Sunday a 18 year old youth walked around with us. and he loved it we went to this on sisters house and shared a message and I asked he if she knew anybody we could teach. she said "hold on one second" walked out the door and left us sitting there alone in her house for like 10 min. I had no idea what was going on so we just sat there for a while and when she came back she said. " I have 2 appointments for you" and we got up and went over to her neighbors house and taught the neighbor. It was sweet and the other one she had is on Wednesday because they were walking out of their house when the sister found them pretty cool. What a great example of somebody that’s not scared to invite people to listen to the missionaries.
The only bad thing that happened was the the youth that we were with got in a misunderstanding with his parents and they didn’t know where he was or something well they wanted to pick him up at 8:30 so we were waiting and waiting but they never came by so at 9:00 I said that we should start making our way to the house. So we went home with him and we called his parents and told them to come by our house. so they finally got there and his mom like flipped out on the kid because he was out until 9:30 with the missionaries. But other than that the week went really good. So that’s about it we found peanut butter in Wal-Mart that’s super cheap its great value brand and had the English label with a Spanish label thrown on top of the English one. haha and it was only 38 pesos what a steal that’s the best price I have ever seen so my comp and I were pretty stoked. Looks like I wont need you guys to send me anymore of it!
Have a good week.
