This week was pretty good. I guess you guys had a killer trip down to the beach! Here in San Felipe it was pretty rough. This week we taught 11 lessons this week. That’s terrible. But we will keep working there is 3 weeks until changes so we are going to finish strong. Thanks for the prayers and letters. Letters are super sweet letters before the mission were just kind of weird. I always thought why get out a pen and paper to write a letter when we can just call people? But the mission gives a whole new perspective. It seems that the letters I receive are more and more precious with every day that goes by. That’s funny how that happens.
Everything is great here. My district leader is one of my best buddies in the mission and has helped me out a bunch through the problems we are having. The other night we passed one of the counselors house to talk to him and ask for a reference. He told me, “Elder Hendricks, how many people have you baptized here? You should count your blessings you have baptized 7 here in this area and you haven’t been here very long, some people come here and don’t baptize at all!" that was kind of funny and it kind of took me off guard. His daughter felt bad for us because she is an exmissionary and took us to some houses of people that she had gotten to know. I guess over all it was profitable. Anyway the mission is great --hard but great. My companion is doing good and we have been working on his obedience lately. Sometimes he has a hard time being obedient, but that’s alright he will learn sooner or later. So we didn’t baptize this week and don’t have anything on the horizon. Which kind of stinks but we will find someone this week to baptize. Any way things are great I will send a few pictures.
Elder Hendricks.
Sounds like the cards are doing well. I will be so mad if they win two years in a row when I am here in Mexico...but oh well I guess I should be grateful for the time I’ve had here. Thanks bye.
